Your journey with us actually begins before you book us for a wedding. We like to provide you with a free consultation, so you can get to meet us and look at our products before booking us. It's our version of a wedding fayre, just for you!
It's very important for us to meet our couples before you book us, you know the famous phrase "it takes two to tango" - this is also true with photography. We like to feel chemistry with everyone we work with to ensure we get the best out of each other.
The creative process with us is a two way street! We love to take your ideas on board, understand your personality, the things you enjoy, the style of photography you like and most of all - how you interact as a couple. These are all very important things to us as the more we get to know you, the more we can anticipate the moment of when to release the shutter on our camera to capture those natural moments.
Once we have received the booking fee, we will agree on a date (usually 8 weeks before the wedding), when we can get you in front of the camera to have your engagement shoot. This is normally held at the venue of your wedding/reception or can be done somewhere that holds special memories for you both. This is a chance for us to help you feel more confident in front of the camera and give you a chance to feel how we will interact with you and how you could interact with each other on your wedding day. We really want to make this an enjoyable experience for you both and leave you with images that you could use for a signing frame or guest book on your big day!
After the shoot, we like to sit down with a cup of tea and get your feedback on how it felt for you both and if you're lucky, we'll show the back of the camera to give you an idea of how great you both look in pixels! We will discuss the finer details of your day as well, to understand the running order, whether we are allowed to photograph during the ceremony (some venues don't allow this) and discuss the number of formal group shots you may like to have. Our advice is to keep these to a minimum if you want to spend more time on couple shots. We will be writing another blog soon about group shots, so keep your eyes peeled!
You will also get a chance to talk to us about the "must have" photo list or some ideas of your own. We love to hear about all of your ideas so that we can add our own magic and provide you with images you can enjoy for many generations to come.
