Ever considered having a unplugged wedding..? | Leicester Wedding Photographer

How many times have you seen wedding guests all trying to take the same photo over the shoulder of the professional photographer? Trying to distract them or make them laugh, or getting them to look at their camera instead and then all the images (included the ones out of focus) are shared on social media before the speeches have even begun? Yes I hear you say!  How would you feel if the first time your groom saw The Dress was in a post to Facebook that the bridesmaid had taken of you getting ready forgetting that he might be checking his phone to ensure that all was running smoothly and to read good wishes of friends and family. Ouch.

More and more people are choosing to opt for an unplugged wedding.  This means advising the wedding guests that they have employed a professional to take care of the photography so that their guests can relax, live in the moment and enjoy the day.  This isn't a total ban on photographs, just a subtle "don't ruin the photograph of the groom catching his first glimpse of his beautiful bride by jumping in front of the photographer with your phone!". Trust me, the photographer will get a much better shot of this moment that any phone, it is what they are being paid to do!

We understand we live in an age where we like to share all of our life in real time, which means that we can become more impatient when it comes to waiting for things that are instant on a smart phone. With this in mind, we like to provide you with a handful of teaser images for you to share on your social media the day after your wedding. This gives you something exciting to look forward to when your guests have left and the realisation kicks in that you have just had the best day of your lives!

In our experience an unplugged wedding makes for a very chilled out, relaxed and fun day.  And don't worry about missing out on any photographs - it's what you are paying your photographer for.  You can relax in the knowledge that you are in safe hands - live in the moment! you will be able to relive it time and time again when you receive your beautiful photographs.
